Why did you put that one back? most computers lag on that map. other speed boosts are fine but that map laggs. now it did not lag my computer but everyone is complaining and i remember on my old computer about the lag. anyway i think that map should be taken off

It was only up for 2 rounds. Was having another look at it.
For the reasons you stated it's now gone for good.

Chico's Bad idea club is back, with static zones and no boost.

Loopy passages is back with shooting.

Shooting has gone from Crossfire, but zombies and exploding zones on death are still there. This may not work, you can't shoot zombies for one, but we'll try it out.

Spongebob squarepants has had a revamp (check the server pages).

Chico's Clover is back, but I may change the settings here. edit: I have changed the settings, it's a lot faster than it was - misuse of the turbo can put you in deep shit.

I think that's about it.

i liked chicos wilrd ride alot and i dont know any lag problems and i neither saw some1 complaining with lag on that map befor , well , every bad pinger laggs.

The lag mentioned there is probably not network lag. It's just the many short walls that reduce the framerate on slower machines, which can be hard to play.

yes thats was the problem with Wild ride. faster CPU's/GPU's the more playeable it is.

I love this map too Wink It is the same base as chico hourglass which is still online so I assume that the problem is not only lag but a combination of chico "standard" lag and bad fps effect due to the amount of small walls. Probably a stupid idea but what about making the map simplier ? Like this one :



not that good looking but it keeps the spirit of the map and may be less affected by lag ...
It probably need some tweaking on some points in the tunnel area ...

wrtl tweaks the nipple of sucess, good work gents, keep those chico, nano, sumo, speeding grindfests coming. shame to see the end of the chico map, what is this lag and low fps that people speak of?

I put voodoo's version of chico's wild ride on, it seems to be bearable.
That makes 12 maps for round 12, which is a bit much maybe, but round 6 is the chico map. Maybe I should put sumo spiral down, it has some issues (framerate, outer players need a lot of time to get to the zone, inner players can block the other team).
