don't want to? did u try it? it's so cool, u will love it, we have to train our skills there, next clan tournament has to be in that new game mode Very Happy

the only server there is now is groundpig one and it's really sucky, cause the bad connection, but the game mode is the future Very Happy the code new some work, but maybe we can try it Wink

Does the patch fix the FPS problem on Capture the Flag? I read the forum message and it didn't mention any thing except it is "stable".

ok, I got the patch working.
Couldn't get the map working though, follow Kyle's link ^^

And War, I'm not sure about that fix, but it only became a problem when round's lasted for a long time.
We can always design it in such a way that rounds don't last a long time. If need be.

I have left shooting zombies up to play with. It's called "ed's ctf test" or something.

the FPS drop was to act as a time limit from my undersatnding

lol, no kyle, what i read is that is an objects cleaning problem as i supposed, they say probably it's the zones on the client side, they are not erased after taking it, each time u take the flag a new one is created and it makes ur client use more memory each time.

ed how about making a 5 minute max cap per level or a 10 cap max

Ed the map is too big right now
it only needs to be half to 1/3 its current size
its almost impossible to play it as it is

also make SP_NUM_AIS 1
its 3 right now and makes it too easy

OK, been messing with this all morning.

It is now called "ed's Capure the Flag in Stonehenge" or something

Set in a modified version of wrtlprnft's wonderful Stonehenge map.

Physics settings are standard fortress settings (with shorter tails).
CTF settings are standard CTF settings.

Let me know what you think.
Basic rules for those who haven't played the original...

Each team has one home zone (the large zone - on this map behind you at the start)
and one flag zone (the small zone - on this map up near the opponants home zone to the left).

To score 3 points you must collect your teams flag and return it to your teams zone.
You can only return your flag home if the other teams flag is back on it's original spot.
When you sucessfully take your flag home it will be returned to it's original spot.

The player carrying the flag will have a flashing zone around him. If you kill him (or he dies), he will drop his flag.
If you touch the fallen flag of the other team, it will be returned to it's original spot.

Respawning:
If you touch your home zone you will respawn all your teams dead players.
If you touch the opponants zone you will respawn all their players.

I think that's about it as I understand it. If I've missed something, or got something wrong, let me know.

what are the tail lenghts? if they are 250-350 then u need to make the spawn zone a bit smaller to increase difficulty a bit. it is sorta easy staying inside the spawn zone.

and if the tails are longer than 400 (i think) then u can do a continuous circuit protecting the flag and spawning.

i didnt do it yesterday cos u guys are too good to play it on, however normal ppl will be pwned by that
