Hokai, take the chico_time map, add a couple masive sumo style fortresses just inside of start position. Change the start postion to prevent the '1 noob on the outside right took out our entire team in 5 seconds' bug... (I recommend chico_time.0.1.3 uses this start position Razz) Ohh and for added kicks, if you go to far away from the fort, and to close to the wall, the wall accel is set so high your bound to get killed Razz

Also, drop the fortress takeover time by alot, since a) it's chico, b) 5v4 sumo doesn't work unless you have time to make a kill or two.

I've played against armagetron, and I'm the undisputed champ of chico sumo Very Happy (Couldn't figure out how to get the ai to not crash into the wall, lol... maybe the dev's should make a fortress AI and a killer AI; fortress AI == box up my fort;)

BTW ed, you can keep the author set as ed. If you really want to give me credit for my 5 minutes work, name the map chico_robed_style.0.0.1 Razz resource loader doesn't like author ed_robed with the map in the ed/fortress folder :/ Better to keep our forts in one place Razz

Want the diff for chico_sumo?

I've not used diff or patch before, and don't have time now to learn it.

It looks like it could be fun. Could you post the map in it's entirity and I'll put it up.

FYI for diff '+' meens a new line that wasn't in the old file, and '-' meens a line that was there, but is no longer there.
Diffs are usually smaller then the entire file, but I guess these maps are small enough Razz

Hokai, I ran a temporary atronad server from my computer. It was chico sumo, with up to 16 players (1 player per team). Within about 30 minutes I had about 8 people on it, and they all loved it! Very Happy I've since modified the original chico-sumo map to have a death zone that grows and shrinking fortress zones. I was wondering if you would start a new CT Chico Sumo server ed? here's the map file:

If you set-up this new server, you might want to add a 0 to all the score settings, to make scores look like fortress practice: sumo server. I just X/10 all the scores, because I could... Razz

Now as for the CT Wild server, here is the chico_teamsumo map. Ed, Please *NOTE*!!! chico_teamsumo modifies a fair bit of values, so that it is even possible to play 2v1 without the zone of the 1 player decaying, or 4v2 without the zone decaying, 5v2 zone will decay though.

The following settings will have to be restored after playing chico teamsumo:
FORTRESS_CONQUERED_KILL_MIN
FORTRESS_CONQUEST_DECAY_RATE
FORTRESS_CONQUEST_RATE
FORTRESS_DEFEND_RATE
