I know that some of you follow the main Armagetron forums and have been following the topic "Country-Based Fortress". However, I would like some more of you, that I know do not regularly read the Main Forums to check out this topic http://forums3.armagetronad.net/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=19800 and also the wiki page I have started for this http://wiki.armagetronad.net/index.php?title=North-Atlantic_Fortress_Tournament#North_American_Fortress_Tournament I would love to get more input and ideas from the CT community, either posted here or on the main forums!

seems good, too bad I have no time to read it all, but i'd love to play that.

I remember TWC was a fiasco, but maybe this will happen better with such a good organizer!

Thanks for the compliment. I hope to get a small team of 2-5 people to help with the organizing things. Olive is already on board, since it was her idea! I hope to make it a quarterly or bi-annual tournament!

Uhhhh, whooopsie. Yeah, I totally meant his idea! He is just the only person i have ever seen that has the name Olive that is male, not female! So, sometimes I forget the proper gender of this nice person!

It's not the first time this kind of idea comes up. But I don't remember what the problem last time was... Confused

some spontaneous thoughts:
- that switch between server can be annoying cause it takes quite some time. there's always one or more laggards.
- no administrators please. self organized games have to get mature.
- furthermore it doesn't matter if northern/southern/western/central/eastern whatsoever. those folks that like to play with each other should be allowed to (e.g. team poland). if names matter then take the lowest common denominator but don't force anyone to be in some sort of areas/regions... that way you might get more teams and that's what counts. maybe you'll have team UK, Germany and Northern Europe side by side? it doesn't matter.

good luck, comp.

Thanks for the advice, Sol. I will be doing another wiki page with a different name. I will take your advice to heart. I see your point about admins and self-organizing.

Also, I am going to definitely have to spectate or record the CT2 team this coming ladle. Sol, Xyron, and Voodoo on the same team. I want to see some of the gameplay! GL, you could be the surprise owning team!
