Well, I did something now. You can still commit your tactics the normal way, but instead of being put online on CTWF they enter a RSS feed. Mods get links if they want to approve or disapprove the new tactics, and only then they're used. |

I've had a go at changing some of them, mainly trying to keep them short and sweet (the one for nano team sumo was ridiculously long and crap anyway) but theres a few problems:
The reader has to know what grind means.
The reader has to know what centre/center means.
So they are pretty useless for brand new players (not that they will know how to press page up to read them anyway).
so who are they for? |

They are readable for a few seconds currently, and even longer if the client has to download the map they're referring to, so everyone should have a chance to read them.
I think the main problem is that I don't know if they're all that correct. Some suggest things that noone is really doing, and that could seriously mess the game up.
They're just experimental, if they don't prove to be useful I'll take them off the server again. |

I have tried to keep them basic, like grind centre and split early. They are readable, but no more than a line or 2 max, some of the current ones are 4 and 5 lines of twaddle.
Here's a couple of my favourites (to show that im not being pedantic, they are just poo)...
for Nan's Castle:
Boxish nano map.
for hairbrush:
Sort of like Chimneys but less pillars/towers and no sneaking around. The way to beat this one is to trap an enemy into a brush thingy (one of the columns) and watch them fruitlessly try to not use their rubber up on the curved surface.
just wow. what happens if they havent played chimneys yet? |

Surely this isn't a 'tactic' though? |

sounds good kyle but...
| if you overturn the one you are grinding on, (s)he gets speed too. this way you speed each other up. many grinders add their speed to VERRRY fast. |
WHAT???? |
