Put a new server up today.
It's a non team affair. You might call it an 8 player Catfight.
Although I've set it to, it's not showing on the master list yet. It will soon. You can custom connect to poet 4537, but it's not much fun on your own.
Let me know if you see it.
If you manage to play there let me know what you think. I've only played with 3 players, I want to try it with 8.

It's highly experimental, running in a whole new way, for instance, it will insult you as you enter.
Any bugs, let me know.

And I know the maps will need tweaking, any suggestions welcome.

i have enjoyed it, i think it needs tweaking on some maps but has potential.

as i said 2, i think the map nees more tweaking it's the wrtn's one, i have no space 4 8 players with just one passage, i think hte 3 columns has to be passage to the other side.

And xevi, le's try it with 8 people for a while, then we'll have a mass rejig of the maps.

I don't know the map names yet but the one with the maze to the center is a bit hard to get to before it disappears.

other than that i like most of the maps i have played so far.

It's the same settings and rubber as fortress, I like it that way.

Only reason way i said this is when it gets down to 2 people its just camping without any attacking. i can't even double bind.

New features:

After 35 seconds your speed will double.
Every 20 seconds after this your speed will increase by the same amount again.

It has bugs I know.
For instance, if the round doesn't have a winner, sometime you start the next round at a silly speed.
I will rewrite the whole thing, but it works. Sort of.

i like your admin warning of speed change but it would be nice if with 5 or 3 seconds a warning with the big text on the screen

no big text, it fucks the view and with 0.3 take all the screen and make people crash, they suck, max a chat line.

It's quite funny to play there, you have: no shooting + only one chicho (as far as I know) = good to play.
Usually I dont like high-speed settings but that's nice.

this map sounds funner with each comment... self acceling cycles eh? thats cool!

it simulates speeding down a ramp... except that if u calculate acceleration u find that its a square number blah blah etc etc

Currently there is no accurate way for my script to know when a round starts or ends.
Untill I get this I will not have an accurate implementation. That is why you got that bug 3dot, it is better now, but not fixed entirely.
And you're right, on some maps speedup at the time it happens doesn't help things.
This will be fixed soon when I get stage settings into mysql.
It is highly experimental after all.
