Timothy Zahn's books were pretty good as a star wars sequel... Hard to satisfy sw fans though.
The only good news here is that georges lucas will not make those movies because he absolutly sucks as a director (might be why episodes 1-3 suck ), he's a good story writer though ...
My fav episode is the empire strike back.
