Today I am making one of our family's favorite variations on Fried Chicken. The recipe comes from my in-laws who saw it on a Campbel's tomato soup can. Here is a basic version.
Flour seasoned with Garlic salt.
1 Cut up chicken.
2 small cans of tomato soup, or one large can.
1 can tomato juice.
2 Large onions, sliced.
4 Large peppers, ideally 1 red, 1 yellow, 2 green sliced.
2 Tablespoons (30ml) Thyme
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (~175 degrees C)
Coat the chicken with the seasoned flour, Fry in a large roaster until Golden Brown.
Add soup, juice, Onions, Peppers, and Thyme to the roaster.
Bake for between 1 and 1.5 hours. Until chicken is done.
Serve over mashed potatoes or White Rice.

I didn't do it, it may have some importance for anyone =P |
PLEASE NEVER UNSTICK THIS. It's not only important to me, but I promise to continue to bump and share good recipes.
And, to protect the integrity of this topic, I will be making Fried Chicken and ribs tonight for dinner. Recently, I spent about 4 hours researching the best way to make traditional Fried Chicken and after years of playing with it, it was the best Fried Chicken, ever! Time to make it again, with one tweak to make it better, seasoned like the Original Recipe Kentucky Fried Chicken., KFC stopped using these spices years ago, but some chefs have duplicated it pretty well. My wife bought me some nice Spare Ribs while they were on sale the other day. So, it's time to bump this topic the right way! After dinner tonight, I will post the 2 recipes and procedures to do this. |
