The trouble is back

As I said, my friend has only allowed me to use the server for a short time cause his server will be canceled at the end of May.
So I looked around a bit and found a cheap server with enough ressources (1700+ athlon, 5120mb ram, >100gb traffic) at the same server center where the wild fortress is standing right now. So the pings would be the same. Problem: we have to pay a bit....The costs to use the server would be ~10 euro / month, I'll pay the rest cause I want to use the server for my hosting, etc.
Do you think this can be an option for us?

We should decide during the next 2 days if I shall rent the new server. Cause this is a special offer for me and if I have to configure the new one, I need 1 or 2 extra days - and our recent server will only be usable until Thursday.

Do you have to commit to a 6 month contract or anything?

I can paypal you enough to cover the first couple of months till we can work something else out.

There'll be no problems - I can cancel the contract every month and have to pay the server only every moth, too. And of course It doesn't bother me to pay the first one or two months until we have organized a way to pay it through the clan. I just wanted to know if we want the server or not.

I had an idea to find a new host, what about put an advice on each round on server? Perhaps some player gone help. And a centered one on the end of a match... with something like Wanna play more matches?, then help us....

I don't want to butt in because this is really none of my business, but i read somewhere on the armagetron forums that the mbc server receives 40 (dollar?) a month through donations.. seeing the wild fortress is one of the most popular server right now you might want to try to get a donation system too.

Good and bad news:
I've signed the contract for the new server yesterday, so it will be avaiable soon. The problem: the server, we use atm, is going down this night, so the Wild Fortress server will be down for 1/2-1 day. I hope the new one will be set up early tomorrow so that I can copy the game files.
