I had so many complaints, "where's that one with the moving zones, loved that one", "why'd you take it off, you moron!" and such like.
And not one person actually thanked me for removing it. To be honest, I missed it myself.
I will move it around a bit, make the zones and spawn closer to the centre, so they meet quicker, that should improve things But that means shuffling a few things around with the script (currently all zones start at exactly the same place), as well as remaking the map. That's for another day. |

epsy, objection noted. And ignored.
It seems you're in the vast minority.
If you want straight sumo, go to Bugfarm sumo.
For something a bit different, go to Flower Power.
The choice is yours.
Oh, and by the way epsy, change your server into a clone of ddl, it just aint high rubber
(you run your server, I'll run mine)
Please all, keep the comments coming. Good or bad, they're always welcome.
But, unlike epsy here, don't try and demand what I should and should not do. |

That was fun yesterday.
Last changes make it better:
the center battle is fairer that way
(even if I'm a slow learner and forget too often that I'm not invicible in all rounds ).
I hope to see this moving round soon ! |

First time i went to "eddie's sumo experiments" i thought it was going to be sumo, only with the change zones meet to the center after some time
then, i see your second and third final map, with some kind of teleportation mechanism, and the second being a kind-of-laggy undescriptible thing, right, i feel it's still a sumo server, but that's going in the wrong direction
but now that isn't sumo...
i had hope in this server to be something good
but congratz, you made it suck
just like CTWF
ok maybe you didn't intend it to be sumo and i was wrong, i respect your choice
i will just forget about this hope and this server
have fun playing octa nano sumo whatever |

I simply told i thought it was supposed to be sumo,
While you made a CTWF for sumo-styled fortresses |

A valid point of view.
There was
NO
NEED TO
SHOUT!
I see flower as being a spin off of sumo. None of the cycle physics have changed (aside from the brief slow down after transporting).
I think that if someone is good at sumo, after a few matches of getting used to it will be equally good at flower sumo. They just need to learn a couple of extra techniques unique to the server. This is not strictly true of ctwf.
tbh, aside from the fast food tournament, for me, bugfarm sumo gets boring quickly.
If you want to play only standard fortress and standard sumo, that's your choice.
I will continue to make crazy servers. If they are annoying epsy, but people still play there, I must be doing something right |

flower power is superior to bugfarm for 3 reasons.
1. Bugfarm's 600 point limit is far too low.
2. The fp ladder keeps a bit of interest (well, when it's up).
3. Bugfarm has that retarded tournament every hour. It's the best way to keep the server free of players, everyone leaves when they drop out of it. genius. |

a couple of bugs ed, when i join and its empty, there is always a latex bot there.
and the other day, there was 2 of us in the solo challenge thing .
and less importantly, on rice krispies now, you lose key presses on the snaps....that's not really a problem for you normals, but for those of us who use 22 keys its annoying. |
