On request to a bunch of people, I am making a Team Sumo Tournament. If you would like to join, please visit the TST forums (located on my site).
Grab a partner and join the fun.

The following is taken directly from my "
About" topic on the forums describing the tournament.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
°°ps clan converted their server into a Team Sumo server a few days ago. Upon this conversion, several people have grown to like this new gametype. I talked to a few people and they said they would love the idea of a Team Sumo Tournament. And here we are.
The biggest problems in the last 3 tournaments excluding the ladle was the time issue. Psyko's sumo tournament took a bunch of weeks, but eventually did come to an end (well...the finals haven't been played but there's a reason). LST was pretty successful, except people had to drop out because of a specific set time. Dogfight tournament is still going on after 3 months
The ladle seems to be pretty successful. What I aim this to be is perhaps the tournament that fills in the month-long gap between ladles.
The ladle is played the first Sunday of each month and seeing that Sunday seems like the best day for everyone, I'm going to tenatively try and make the TST (Team Sumo Tournament) 2 weeks after the Ladle on Sunday.
How is this going to all fit into 1 day? Well, this is my idea:
Saying that 16 people sign up for the tournament (8 teams of 2). We will have 2 rounds. A semi-final and a final. The semi's will consist of 4 teams of 2 (8 players) all battling in 1 zone. It might get conjested (<-- probably spelled wrong), but then it really shows who can sumo well with their teammate.
The semi's will be 3 matches each. The possible outcomes are 3-0-0-0, 2-1-0-0, or 1-1-1-0. In the 1st scenario (3-0-0-0) the team with 3 wins will leave the grid and the remaining 3 will fight in 1 match. Winner moves to the finals with the 3 win team (that left). In the 2nd scenario (2-1-0-0), the 2 winners are already set and they move to the finals (the teams with 2 wins and 1 win. In the 3rd scenario (1-1-1-0), the team with 0 is eliminated and 2 more matches are played. In the highly unlikey event that after the 2 extra matches are played the scores are 3-1-1, the team with 3 wins steps off and then it's a 2 team battle for the final spot.
So in a nutshell, it starts off with 8 teams of 2. 4 teams play eachother in the 1 semi-final & 4 in the other. The top 2 from each semi-final meet in the finals.
The finals will be all out war. First to win 3 matches. This could go quick (3-0-0-0) or slowly (3-2-2-2). The chances that it will take 9 matches is super unlikely, but the more the merrier. If time is a factor during the finals, it may be reduced to first to win 2 matches.
The above is my idea. Please have an opinion and post how you would like it to be run -->
here
I hope we can get this running and have it be successful
