I was wondering what keys you tronners had bound for the common actions (left, right, brack, glance left, glance right, glance back).

This is the setup I've been using in the past:
left: z a
right: x s
brake: UP
glance left: LEFT
glance right: RIGHT
glance back: DOWN

But I'm right handed, so I figure I should probably use my right hand to control my bike instead of my left. So this is the configuration I'm presently trying to get used to.

right: / "
brake: SPACE
glance left: c
glance right: b
glance back: v


I realize that many (if not most) of the members here do not use US keyboard layouts, so things might get complicated, but let's see what happens.

anyway

turn left: left arrow and <turn>
brake: down arrow
talk: up arrow

don't use unless in incam
glance left: B
glance right: N
glance down: space

we basically have almsot the same keys crispy , im so used to usin these keys:

turn left= L and ,
turn right= J and M
brake= /
glance left= SHIFT
glance right= H
glance back= G
talk= S
scores= TAB

Seems both of you could and might only use 2 hands

Here's my story of "evolution"

When I first started playing (in like March of this year) I used z for left and x for right. I didn't yet know how to change them and I really wanted to because I am right handed. At the same time that I wanted to change them, I wanted to learn how to double bind. Someone helped me out and I put left arrow as another turn left and right arrow as another turn right. Now this was much better because I could double bind and my hands were spread apart. Very shortly after, I made space bar brake because it seemed an easy fit. Then by accident I set glance back to arrow down. I then was playing and accidently hit the arrow down key and I realized woah this can help me. Then I thought, if there's glance back, there must be glance left and glance right. Now, where to put them...I only use my left hand to brake and double bind. I figured that I would never be double binding, braking, and glancing at the same time (I was later proven wrong due to a pattern I developed of dbing and glancing) so I set my glance left and glance right to c and v respectively. That's it!

Summary:

z - turn left
x - turn right
c - glance left
v - glance right
space bar - brake
(now arrow keys)
left - turn left
down - glance back
right - turn right

That's it!

hehe i set up every time i play as some of u know so i cant be bothered to glance

left: left arrow, q, w
right: right arrow, e, r
brake: down arrow
toggle brake: space
chat: enter
change view: c

i can triple bind using this way thats how i pwn chico

i use

a- left
s-brake
d-right

and fer duble inding

right-right
left-left
down-brake

as some know i use the mouse... and some keys to my left hand

asdw -> cam views/glances
zx-> turn
c->brake
b-> toggle brake (i used to have v, but sometime i press 4 error....)
q->chat
- ->console
f1-f12 + º,1,2,....¡,+ -> instant chats
end -> switch espectator
supr -> full screen / window mode
ins -> screenshoot
f- > cam change

also i have pad turns and brake set but i don't use them

and maybe some more i don't remember now.

On my right hand:
I use Right and left arrows for my main turning, and down arrow for braking.

But on my left hand:
S and X = Left
D and C = Right
W = glance left
E = Glance right
Q = glance back
V = brakes
F = toggle brakes

I probably use glance about 50% of the time i play, i'm always looking everywhere.

mine is the best! triple binding pwns on chico, and helps to do those box things... triple bind one way then hit the other way

left : < w left arrow
right : x c right arrow
brake : alt(left) or space
chat : s
console : b
camera : n

glance back : down arrow
i dont use right and left glance

mine is:

z= left
x= right
c= camera view
a,s,d,f,g,h,j= speak/chat
(space)= brake/speed

the most natural hand/keyboard positioning.
