With Disney recently purchasing Lucasfilms, they have announced a post Trilogy continuing the Star wars sega. Expected release of Episodes VII in 2015, how do you guys feel about Disney making more star wars movies? I'll probably watch them but I felt like i already had closure with the series in episode 6 and later on episode 3 since it was the last released :p. I don't think they'll be nearly as good and a lot of fanatics may be upset.

Star Wars 4/5/6 are absolutely AMAZING.

Star Wars 1/2/3 are just excuses from them to make more money.

Star Wars 7/8/9 as long as money exists... they want more of it.

I was quite shocked that George Lucas sold his company tho. Especially to Disney.

and duh as long as money exists they want it, why do you think they keep re-releasing the movies into theaters in "3D". same movie + clearer picture + glasses = People go ape shit so they make bank.

They re-release those movies because they get even more money. Yes... it is the same content and YES there are people watching those movies.

What I said above is my personal opinion. No doubt that 1/2/3 are good movies, but they are not as awesome as the first ones.

Yes it is hard to make another movie that is almost as excellent as the previous one, but why risking that? Money.

I personally watched Dark Knight. Then went to the cinema with my buddies... and we all agreed that Dark Knight Rises is by far not as good as Dark Knight.

Could not go to the cinema for Star Wars, because I obviously was not born then

What I don't understand... is how they can continue the series FOLLOWING episode 4,5, and 6. Luke was the last one remaining that had control of the force wasn't he? I mean... are his children going to turn to the darkside or wut?

I actually liked the Dark Knight Rises more than the Dark Knight.

But I'm cautiously optimistic about this. The three prequels weren't very good so I'm glad that Lucas no longer is in charge of everything. If they get a good director, these next movies could be great. I'm guessing that the movies are going to be mostly disconnected from the original trilogy.

when it comes to the Batman trilogy, i found them all to be fantastic movies including Batman begins. The dark knight rises was better filmed and such with a much larger budget, I'm more of a fan of the Dark Knight simply because the Joker is such a dynamic character.
