| Wales did deserve that game and the call by the reff was well justified but not for a world cup semi-final. From then on Wales was gonna lose no matter what they just had the odds stacked against them. |
do rules changed for semi-final and final to deserve different decisions ? I don't think so. Does wales deserves to win ? They does, if they haven't missed those kicks ... But they missed them and lose. That's sport. Nothing to blame France about. You'll never know if things would have been different without this red card.
But yeah wales was the most interesting team in this world cup and more importantly, it's a young team so they'll probably rock soon enough. That's why I've posted this post during their first match.
South Africa has played nice matches too but was not constant from match to match.
This last match, while not being the nicest rugby match of the tournament was nice to watch: Tough fights, intense and well balanced. On the overall tournament, New Zealand was to best team and deserves to win. Though final was not their best match at all and France was very close ... At the end, as very often in a final, teams are tense and somehow the pressure kills "nice gameplay".
