It took me a while but I eventually started liking Fortress Cafe more than CTWF although I still was addicted to CTWF. I remember watching Infamous on the CTWF ladder completely pwning everyone and I wanted to do as well as him. Once I got 2nd on the ladder and I was surprised and happy that I got there. Although I slid down to like 20 after doing 100 more rounds

.
At around the same time I tried to help UPZ, a new clan, get off the ground, by building them a forums and helping them recruit. I think you can tell how well that turned out.

Since Ladle 12 happened in June and then there was a 1 year ladle break, I wasn't able to play in a ladle for the first year I was in the clan. Instead we ended up playing a good deal of clan wars and also doing the AFL, none of which we did particularly well in: I don't think we ever beat x until after the ladles started. It was in this period of time that my best/luckiest moment occurred: I was defense and three spers entered into the zone, but I managed to kill two of them really quickly and then trapped the third to win the round. Around this time, I alternated around with different positions: I played offense, defense, sweeper, and rarely center.
Also at the same time, sol set forth his great plan to improve the clan. As it happened, I felt ct becoming better every day, and I wanted to help. In october, I became a ct ambassador, or the predecessor to the squad leader. Essentially ambassadors had all the powers of the squad leader, without the actual leading of a squad part. I stayed really active and tried to get ct in lots of clan wars and tournaments. I also tried to recruit new people, with limited success.
After a year, ct started playing in ladles again, and I became determined to help us win one. Our first Ladle in a while was Ladle 13, and it was a good experience for us. We made it to the finals against X, and lost in a close 3-2 battle. (although admittedly they should've won 3-1 as they lost one match due to a failed torp in the last round) Over the next two ladles we improved, while I settled my place down in 1st position, until we won in Ladle 16 in October 2008! I'm proud to say that I had a big part in the eventual win. I and the rest of the clan was completely ecstatic when this happened as we hadn't won anything big before that.
As time went on, I strove to improve my centering. While 6 months before, Legit had introduced what difference a good center could make in a game, as time went on, more and more people became proficient at centering. I think that I improved and invented some new tactics until I was a guy who was looked at as dangerous by any other center on the pitch. I reached my peak around late 2009 and stayed around there until late 2010 and while others have gotten really good recently, I'm proud of having ruled center, at least for a while.
One of my favorite parts of being in CT has been being a squad leader. While the Ambassador position was destroyed sometime in early 2008, I became CT's 2nd squad leader in late 2008, and I've led the A squad, either with empha, by myself, or with gonzap ever since.
For the next few years after Ladle 16, CT kept on winning Ladles, and on and on until we became the winningest clan. It's great to be a part of a clan that has improved so much throughout the years and is still thriving. What I've liked even more than that though is the people in the clan. It's because of you guys that I've stayed in this clan for over 4 years. I've practically grown up while in the clan, joining at 12, and now I'm 16, and I've found you guys good at arma, nice, and fun to talk with my entire way through.
I also love the friends I've made outside ct. I won't list names here because I know I'll miss some people. Thanks to all of those in the arma community who have been awesome people. While there have been the occasional trolls or flamers (I think you guys know who I'm talking about), overall the community has been great and it's been a pleasure playing with you all.
