First day of my vacation. Tried playing Wild Fortress today, but the dial-up access here is really bad and I had the worst ping I've ever seen. So, I made a map instead... Here's a preview...

This map is hard to figure out just from the preview picture, so please read... The middle "+" is solid, but its surrounding square has small 0.5 unit holes that can be passed through. They are in-line with the small dashed and L-shaped slingshot bars. Your only chance of getting from one side to the other is to grind the slingshot bars to make it through the 0.5 unit holes. You have to get through four small holes to reach the enemys zone. Yes, it is fun.

i'll have to try it but how are 6 people going to attack throught 2 small holes.

i finaly figured out what the top and bottom of the map does
it's to escape DZ's right

Nope... There are actually 40 small holes, 10 per side. I guess you'll just have to see it... Here's the code.

I don't know if I'm going to finish this one...

It was a decent idea, but is hard to get around. I'll leave it here if anyone has any ideas to make it better. Won't send the code unless you ask me in a PM. Its not ready to make live for team play.

firstly the maps are obscenely difficult, so i dont think they are ok for wild (it is a n00b friendly server Sad

)

if u modify the first one's size then it can easily be fitted in dog, and that will be fun

second one is a cat style one - make a sumo instead of 2 zone captures, and a hole in the middle - ill draw a picture when i get back from china

ps i got 1200 ping from my dial up at home so that is better then ur whatever (600 im guessing, thats what broadband gives in china)

pss do u use armabell? if yes then try making a map by hand (notepad or text) it is really rewarding

Yeah, everything's been pen and paper so far. I barely even looked at Armabell cause it didn't even work when I first tried it.

I have used it to make most maps on CT wild. If it's a simple 4/8 axes map, it's just so darn quick.
It's a bit quirky sometimes, but you get used to these.

I like the map. Haven't had a chance to test it yet.
My days are kind of full at the mo.
Give me a week or so, things wil have calmed down and CT Wild will get a few new maps.
