Let me just start by explaining it. It's a ctf tourney (well kind of a series of tourneys) on tr2n. The qualifiers start June 19th, so if you're interested, make sure to sign up soon!

Well that was easy to explain. Now let me try to convince you guys (the hard part).

CT is a well respected clan. You guys are one of the top fort teams, and have some very good sumoers. I don't really know much about hr or df, since I don't play those, but I know that you guys aren't really involved in CTF. So why sign up for a tourney? Because tourneys are fun! You guys signed up for the Ww Wild Fort Tourney, and won!!! So why not another? I know that you guys are very well organized (given the longevity of your clan, and by taking a look at the ranking system), so you must have some awesome teamwork. Maybe you guys don't necessarily have the experience with or the fingers for ctf, but I'm sure that you'd have lots of fun. So give it a try! Besides, you guys got to see R try out fort and be total noobs (well, hopefully not total). Now let us see you guys be noobs! We gonna pwn u LOLOLOL (<-- jk, I don't really talk like that).

Anyway, I encourage you guys to sign up. And if nothing else motivates you, keep in mind that the winning team gets a $50 gift certificate to whatever you want.

So you're saying we need to participate in two qualifying matches on saturdays as well as the actual tournament on Saturday? We also have to download the Tr2n client? I can't exactly speak for my entire team, but I really doubt we'll be able to form anything even resembling a team for this tournament.

I'd play for you guys on the first qualifyer if its on the 26th (Exams are on the 21st and 22nd) if you are interested in playing - it doesn't take long to download tr2n, and you only need 5 members for a team. CTF is alot of fun, and not TOO different from fortress. Still the same basic skills of surviving, attacking and defending. Just different physics

Time would probably be my biggest problem. However people have trouble when I play by the settings not by the hard to find written rules of CTF, That is what always turns me away from it. Also i can't stand the camera in 0.2.8.* arma therefore i can't stand tr2n and I won't use tr2n till it is 100% different from arma.

yeah it's not a matter of downloading it. It's justa copy of normal armagetron, i don't like it.

Always if I look at ID's Online Player's List, nobody plays Tr2n! And anyway, as Gonz already pointed out, only the real ArmagetronAd is still the best. Not that you didnt do very good work doing that game, but I just think the majority doesn't like the Game.

I understand dest is trying to make tr2n successful, and I don't want to restart the debate over it.

Playing new tournaments is always fun (even if we lose, we enjoyed ladle a lot, and some of us are willing to try CTF)
Unfortunately:
1. I do not have time, so this tournament will be without me
2. most of CTers (and I can't blame them) do not want to install tr2n (too close from aa) and create a new account to some forums...

I fear this will be hard to get a CT team up, but I hope there will be one!
