See, that's the thing. I never had a problem authenticating |Pipe| in 2.8.2, or in 2.8.3. I just upgraded to 2.8.3.1 today, and I really doubt it has anything to do with that. What should I do about the characters? Which ones are valid? I can take the |'s off, if that's necessary.

you can log in using command /login -=}ID< |Pipe|@ct. If you don't like it that way - change the > character to something that is NOT escaped by a html parser.

Hey, thanks for the help, but for some reason it fixed itself. I have no idea what I did, or whatever, but all of a sudden everything kinda slid in place, and I don't feel like messing it up, now Razz

everyone should just login @ct and not use the groups

It automatically assigns those groups.

hey, its Vinatur, I have always been able to login, but just tonight it is preventing me from doing so as it continuously says "UNKNOWN_USER" i have tried multiple times and am 100% sure that i am typing it in right, please help

If you are using an armagetronad forums username, and you haven't signed in for a while, you need to sign in to 'reactivate' your account AFAIK. This was happening for me since I had been out of tron for a while.

when you go into a server type /login matthg96@ct (type this into chat)

then type your forum password in the password box.

there's a feature on forums to help you:

look on hte box at the left of this message, there is a GID: K-Yo@ct/jedi
that means I have to type "/login K-Yo@ct" and server will show "K-Yo@ct/jedi" once I am logged in.
