Nope. That was a compguygene original. Although, I can see the Lord of the Rings influence there. Then again, when you consider how many times in my life I have read not only the original trilogy, but the Similarilion and all the notes that J.R.R. Tolkein left behind, I suppose that the influence was unavoidable.
