Microsoft sucks.
Reasons
Access, Does not use Pure SQL
it does not know when you are hovering a scrollable area so it 1/4 of the time will actual scroll, most of the time it just won't
Overpriced, though i get most of my stuff for free for MS it is more of a hassle to use.

Noone knows about the PATH environment variable that would be pretty useful to know.

Crappy File system, Don't you love defragmenting?

ship the product with many potentially critical bus, Excel could not compute certain sums when office 2007 came out.

I'm too lazy to list more, and I haven't used it much within the last 2 years to remember them all now.

another funny (or frustrating when you are doing a final project) thing, you can't change page layout when you have no printer installed and any "office" program

I actually don't think it sucks, I just couldn't think of a good title at the time

I like that... "well being" and "well-being" ... which one.. the software has no idea. I'd hyphenate it. BUT I hate micro$haft word. I run it on my mac and I was free of any issues until I installed it. Now I have more issues when its open. I've seen WORD crash any app you can think of.... I'll say that I'm ridiculously happy that I switched to a mac. I'll never get a PC again. . I've had issues in Word like spelling of a word was wrong when its something like "convenient." Well thats right but the software said it was wrong no matter how i wrote it. Then writing a sentence like "Data Miner could possibly be considered an unethical position," was considered grammatically incorrect. Well "Data Miner" is a job title and I guess the software doesn't see it that way. DOH! It's interesting how computers are considered to be smart but they're only smart if a person is controlling them.

MS uses no AI algorithms there, i'd be surprised if they did
Also IIRC it can be set to now check the CAPITALISED words and/or probably others.

well ms word in windows is quite different from the mac one... i could agree with kyle about whatever he stated ...

but it helps people to do their projects in easy and fine way "basic use" ...unlike some of us who are knowledgeable with computers or we studied computers

most of my programs are cracked

If you want to use Office from Microsoft then use the Windows version. The Mac version has always sucked...

Abiword is very nice too!

abiword cannot handle a .doc file, screws everything up in it.
