im not bad on drums though

There was a topic a long time ago on the armagetron forums quite like this, and i wrote there circa 2004:

I don't know why i picked it, but i thought it had a nice sound to it and it kinda describes my mentality in general. |
It doesn't really suit me as much as did though, and I guess my dedication to arma is everything but lackadaisical |

ruiner > im biased cos i use mapex, but you get a higher quality kit for the same money as a shitty pearl one
for example:
1 - a pearl forum fx kit is about £425 excluding cymbals, which is basically made from corrugated cardboard
2 - for £450 you can get a mapex m series, which is made from 100% birch wood, excluding cymbals
3 - or for about £350-400 mapex vx kit, which is made from basswood and exterior maple ply which aint bad for that money, and with the £80-100 youd save you can buy extra hardware or cymbals.
if youre looking at spending £500-800, thats about my range. i got my pro m 100% maple in a sale for £579, excluding my cymbals, double bass pedal etc. i basically just got the drums and the stands. it normally retails about £700. however saying that, the new pearl vision isnt a bad kit, provided you get the 100% maple or birch one. dont go for the cheaper one even though it might look nicer.
if you want to chat about it more, my msn is on my profile |

Sure we can beat it
This morning i asked to Homoºerection to say why he chose his nick... hehe. |

Added you Ricochet, didnt realize you were english - should make things easier hah
Would appreciate the help though, I may be an alright drummer but my knowledge for kits is limited
I'm named after Ruiner, the band - I thought it sounded pretty good, though I don't think its grammatically correct and makes me look like an ignorant foreigner |
