If there were 4 spawn points on maps like Chico�??s clover would it split the teams up. that may be unique to play with

No, spawn points are one per team.
If you had 4 spawn points but only 2 teams, it would only use the first 2, ignore the others.

Again, it's a planned feature, you can spawn your players wherever you wish.
