You can try this server, even it is just a bugfarm clone. This is a first try to have authentification.
type this in the chat to login with your website login and password (same as to login here).
/user login pass

Really basic management for the moment. I'll switch it to specific fields as soon as I know how to add them to the profile Smile

I can't login Crying or Very sad

I enter /user ed password
but it keeps saying login denied.
I tried changing my gridname to ed and entering
/user login password
But that didn't work either.
Am I doing something wrong?

Seriously per-server auth is ineffective and has some security issues...i'm planning to hardcode one based on xmpp etc, as luke-jr suggested...that also opens many possibilities like included teamspeak(well, something like that)

Whatever, the point is not to have something perfectly secure which is useless according to me.
The goal is to have something simple and test if players reject it or not.
Cause we have some recurent cases like fakers who mess the game or the ladder... Evil or Very Mad

I have to add a file to store the commands send to the server ...

No it's not mandatory. I'm just testing the rename_player setting as well. So you can let the user choose his name but make the script use his loggin name for the ladder, and also keep all the name a player is using ...

Ed, Gluggsel, I've add a log between parser and server so I can check commands send to the server by the script. Can you try to log again so I can try to understand what happens there ? remember it is case sensitive...
