I was wondering if I could make 4 maps for a CTWF round, and if they were good enough some of the fps difficult maps (i.e. circuit board) could be replaced. Maybe shake Wild fortress up a little bit?

me too, what is it that makes them low FPS?? I always guessed that it was too many angled walls streching the physics detection or something?

Sure you can make maps. Whether or not they'll be used is another matter.
Post them here, if me or wrtlprnft like them enough and have the time, we will put them up.
We always like new mapmakers getting involved.

Thats what I have done so far.

They look interesting, I like the first idea but there isn't really any defending zones which may make the map a instant win for the most experienced team. In my opinion the most tactical and strategical maps are the most fun or sometimes the just pure and simple ones that have something relaxing/easy/enjoying thing about it.

no, angled walls doesn't affect fps very munch

John, if you have MSN we can talk about some ideas and suggestions I have. Kyle and I spoke abit but he seems to be too lazy to actually produce some working maps for me to experience how they perform in the real environment plus I do also think mostly because we haven't actually both agreed to one that feels "awesome."

You can always draw them in mspaint or something similar.
This will give the map maker something easy to work from.
