I have access to a Virtual Server. It's on a free trial for a few weeks, if it's any good, I may keep it.
It's on the same network CTWF was on for the first few weeks of it's life. The connection is very good. In those days it was a root server mind.
One way to test it is to run CTWF on it for a couple of days, see how it fares.
CTWF will be put back on PTA's server regardless of the outcome.

If you connect currently to CTWF via a bookmark, you'll have to find it again on the main server list.

There is no pig stuff there at the mo, so shooting maps don't have shooting.

No tactics, but I will fix this asap. edit: fixed.

The ladder is not active.

The players at CTWF at the foot of the main CT page is not active.

Some settings may need adjusting, I rebuilt the settings file, they were a total mess as anyone who's seen them will vouch.

Please leave your feedback. Most important, how is the lag? or is it just a myth?

no lag here but in 1v0 (bot) i got 13 fps!!! awww (yea i know it's just my fault, i mean client side)
i think most of eu players won't get any higher latency than 100ms. is it solved the bandwidth problems? i hope yes
btw. greate idea to make the walls longer in speed kills map ;D i've just noticed that fact

The bot uses more CPU than only the server, maybe the allocation of the cpu ressources is not the best, dunno....

I was playing there last night when it was full. All was well till it was Chico Time, the the walls started building in the wrong places, then reappearing in your face. Not good.
And on Chico's Eye it all went to Hell, transporting, walls with fake holes, everyone dying in confusion. Not good.
So, I suppose it would be okay for a server similar to Mayhem, but can't quite handle CTWF.

And P4, the walls are always that length on Speed Kills when it's in SP player mode, haven't bothered setting it to 80 (I think). Really it doesn't work so well when it's full, far too easy to defend the zones.

i did play when it was full and i had a little bit of lie on Chico but then again i normally do.

I've moved CTWF back to PTA's server now. So, shooting is back. Hooray!!!

On the whole the vps performed grandly. Well, we didn't get any complaints so that has to be a good sign.

I have a complaint... There was no shooting or stats. Yeah, I know, that would be there later.

well my ping was lower when you moved:-D (211 average )

now it's all jumpy -.- (195-500)

CTWF is back on my server for the time being. PTA's is poorly.

I know I need to fix shootin, it's at default settings so shot's are larger and you can charge them up, explosions are massive. I like it.

ladders should be updating now.

You might have seen it on crossfire.
I have taken explosions and zombies off crossfire now.
Shooting off magic roundabout. Impossible to defend.
Tails on twisted bear longer.
Sumo spiral gone, so annoying when you get trapped in your lane totally powerless to escape.
Octa loopy nano gone, too similar to octa loopy.
Rim accel octa loopy faster, defence can be too easy.

I know how to six that. basically by adding length to travel and starting it like minefield. I may look at the code and see what i can do to it i don't have much time.
